PFC-free and built for approach, trekking, and hiking, this shoe is your fast-and-light companion from valley to summit.

Overview

Engineered for female mountaineers who move fast in the mountains, the MTN Trainer Lite GTX is Salewa's answer to demanding alpine approaches and long hikes on mixed terrain. The upper combines highly wear-resistant fabric with TPU film protection, shielding your foot from scree and abrasion. Inside, an Ortholite® footbed adds plush comfort and moisture management. The GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane delivers durably waterproof, breathable performance, keeping your feet dry in rain, slush, and stream crossings. The Pomoca outsole features a specialized tread pattern that sheds mud and grips confidently on wet rock, roots, and loose ground. Salewa's 3F System connects the instep, sole, and heel for a secure, adaptive fit, while the climbing lacing extends to the toe for precise adjustment. A protective rubber rand wraps the entire lower shoe, warding off impacts. With a medium stiffness, this shoe offers enough support for technical terrain without sacrificing walking comfort.
