Salewa Wildfire NXT GTX Men's Approach Shoes UK 8 (42) Black Out / Posing Green

Technical approaches demand footwear that balances grip, protection, and all-day comfort—especially when weather turns unpredictable. The Salewa Wildfire NXT GTX answers with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, a precise climbing lacing system, and a sticky Pomoca outsole that bites into rock and trail alike.

Who is it for

Built for male hikers, scramblers, and via ferrata enthusiasts who need a reliable, medium-stiff approach shoe that transitions seamlessly from trailhead to technical terrain. Tips

For the best fit, try on approach shoes with the socks you plan to wear on technical routes. The climbing lacing system allows fine adjustment—tighten from toe to ankle for a secure heel lock. After wet outings, remove the Ortholite footbed and let the shoes air dry away from direct heat to preserve the GORE-TEX membrane.
