Salewa Wildfire 2 Men's Approach Shoes UK 10 (EU 44.5) Black Out / Fluo Yellow

Precision meets adaptability in the Salewa Wildfire 2, a technical approach shoe that bridges the gap between climbing performance and hiking comfort. Unlike conventional approach shoes that force a single fit, the Wildfire 2 features the Switchfit Adjustment System, letting you toggle between a snug, performance-oriented fit for scrambling and a relaxed, cushioned fit for trail approaches. The Pomoca Speed MTN outsole with Butylic compound delivers exceptional grip on rock and mixed terrain, while the recycled mesh upper and TPU rand provide durability without compromising sustainability.

Highlights

• Switchfit Adjustment System: instantly adapt fit for climbing or hiking
• Pomoca Speed MTN outsole with Butylic compound for superior traction
• Recycled synthetic mesh upper with TPU rand for durability
• Ortholite® footbed (MFF+) for long-lasting cushioning and breathability
• PFC-free DWR treatment repels moisture without harmful chemicals

In daily use

On technical approaches and scrambles, the Wildfire 2 excels with its climbing lacing system that extends to the toe for a precise, secure fit. The anti-rock heel cup and EVA midsole provide stability and shock absorption on uneven ground, while the 11 mm heel-to-toe drop supports efficient stride transitions. The breathable mesh lining keeps feet cool during high-output efforts, and the protective rubber rand shields against abrasion from rocks and scree.
