Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

At just 395 g per boot (size UK 5), the Salewa Mountain Trainer Lite is a remarkably lightweight yet rugged hiking boot built for technical alpine terrain. Its GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining delivers waterproof, breathable protection, while the Pomoca MTN Trainer Lite outsole grips confidently on rock and mixed mountain trails.

Overview

The Mountain Trainer Lite is a low-cut hiking shoe engineered for women who move fast in the mountains. It combines a highly wear-resistant fabric upper with a TPU protective rand, ensuring durability against scree and abrasion. The Salewa 3F System reinforces the ankle and heel for a secure, supportive fit, while the climbing lacing allows precise adjustment down to the toe. An EVA midsole with an 11 mm drop (30 mm heel, 19 mm toe) cushions every step, and the PFC-free construction reflects Salewa's commitment to sustainability.

What stands out

  • GORE-TEX Extended Comfort: waterproof and breathable membrane keeps feet dry in wet conditions.
  • Pomoca MTN Trainer Lite outsole: designed for grip on technical trails and mixed mountain terrain.
  • Salewa 3F System: connects instep, heel, and ankle for enhanced stability and a precise fit.
  • Climbing lacing: extends to the toe for a customizable, secure lockdown.
  • PFC-free: eco-friendly water-repellent treatment without harmful fluorocarbons.
