Safety Goggles 3M Goggle 2890 clear acetate chemical resistant

3M Goggle 2890 clear acetate chemical resistant safety goggles are designed to provide splash and particulate protection in environments where chemical exposure is a risk. Constructed from acetate for both lenses and frame, these goggles are intended to fit over most prescription glasses while maintaining a secure seal and comfortable fit for extended wear during laboratory, industrial or maintenance tasks.

Advantages

The acetate construction offers chemical resistance and optical clarity while remaining lightweight. A contoured frame design helps create a close facial seal to reduce the ingress of splashes and airborne particles. The goggles are sized to fit over prescription eyewear without significantly increasing bulk, and the clear lenses maintain visibility for precision work. Adjustable features and a flexible frame provide reliable comfort during prolonged use.

How to use

Before use, inspect the goggles for cracks, significant scratches or other damage that could compromise protection. Place the goggles over prescription glasses if applicable, ensuring the frame sits comfortably against the face and forms a seal around the eye area. Adjust the headband or strap to achieve a stable fit without excessive pressure. Use in environments where splash or particulate risk exists and combine with other required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and face protection as dictated by workplace safety procedures. Clean acetate surfaces with manufacturer-approved solutions to avoid damaging the lenses and store in a clean, dry location when not in use.

Recommendations

Use these goggles when handling chemicals or working where splashes and airborne particulates are likely. Replace the goggles if the lenses become deeply scratched or if the frame is deformed, as damage can reduce protection and optical clarity. Do not use damaged or heavily worn goggles for tasks with chemical splash hazards.
