The ROLINE S/FTP Cable Cat.5e (100 m) is a grey stranded-pair network cable designed for structured building wiring and high-speed data transmission. It features eight copper stranded conductors (AWG26) with aluminium-laminated foil screening and a copper braid shield, providing an impedance of 100 Ohm and performance characteristics compliant with Class D when used in a 100 m channel.

How to use

Install the cable as part of a structured cabling system by routing it from patch panels to wall jacks or equipment racks. Terminate the pairs to shielded keystone jacks or patch panels that support S/FTP shielding, and use compatible shielded patch cords for final connections. Test the finished channel (up to 100 m) for attenuation and near-end crosstalk to verify compliance with Cat.5e / Class D performance.

Recommendations

For best results, combine this cable with shielded Cat.5e components such as ROLINE solid AWG24 backbone cable (21.15.0019 / 21.15.0020), shielded flush/surface wall jacks, shielded 19" patch panels (24 ports) and shielded patch cords.
