Round spade chisel Bosch Professional SDS‑Hex 135 x 400 mm for demolition and chiseling

Round spade chisel Bosch Professional SDS‑Hex 135 x 400 mm is designed for heavy-duty demolition and concrete work. The chisel features a 135 mm wide blade and a total length of 400 mm with an SDS‑Hex connection for secure engagement with compatible rotary hammers and demolition tools. It is intended to chip, break and remove concrete, screed and masonry efficiently while maintaining stable positioning during intensive use.

Advantages

The robust forged construction provides high impact resistance and long service life under repetitive hammering. The SDS‑Hex shank ensures firm lock-in and reduced rotational slip in tools that accept hexagonal SDS connections, improving force transfer from the tool to the blade. The 135 mm blade width balances coverage and precision, allowing effective removal of material while enabling controlled chiselling along edges and joints.

Suitable for

• Chiselling and breaking concrete slabs, screed and floor coverings
• Removing masonry, plaster and adhesive layers
• Trenching or channeling in concrete for installations
• Demolition and renovation tasks requiring wide blade material removal

Key specifications

• Blade width: 135 mm
• Overall length: 400 mm
• Shank type: SDS‑Hex connection for secure tool engagement
• Material: heat-treated forged steel for durability
• Application: demolition, concrete and masonry removal

How to use

Fit the chisel into a compatible rotary hammer or demolition tool designed for SDS‑Hex attachments, ensuring the shank locks into place. Operate the tool at recommended impact settings for chiselling and keep the blade angled to control removal depth. Apply steady pressure and move the chisel progressively along the working surface to break and lift material; avoid excessive levering that could stress the shank. Inspect the chisel before use for cracks or excessive wear and replace when the cutting profile is significantly deformed.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety goggles, hearing protection and dust mask when working with concrete and masonry. Match the tool’s impact energy and speed settings to the task and the chisel’s specifications. For extended service life, clean debris from the shank after use and store the chisel in a dry place. For precise edge work, use controlled short strikes and for bulk removal, use longer overlapping passes.
