Ajax Tag Black is a compact contactless RFID key fob operating at 13.56 MHz, sized 32×45×6 mm and designed for secure access and quick identification. It is compatible with Ajax KeyPad Plus and allows fast touchless arming and disarming of alarm systems without entering a password. The Tag supports connection to multiple hubs, offers copy protection and works as a convenient identification token for homes, small offices and access control points.

Advantages

The Tag uses DESFire®-based contactless identification compliant with ISO 14443, providing 128-bit encryption and copy protection for reliable user authentication. One Tag can be registered on up to 13 hubs, enabling unified access across several systems. Management of each Tag is available in the Ajax app: assign a name, set access permissions and monitor events in the log. Adding the Tag to the system is performed by presenting it to the KeyPad Plus reader, simplifying setup and daily use.

How to use

To add the Tag to an Ajax system, open the Ajax app, go to the device settings for KeyPad Plus and present the Tag to the keypad reader. Once registered, present the key fob to the KeyPad Plus reader to arm or disarm the security system without entering a password. Use the app to assign a descriptive name and set or revoke access permissions; every disarm or arm action performed with the Tag is recorded in the event log for audit and monitoring purposes.

Recommendations

Keep the Tag on a key ring or in a convenient location to ensure fast access. Avoid exposing the tag to prolonged mechanical stress, strong magnetic fields or liquids. For secure operations, manage user permissions and revoke lost tags promptly via the Ajax app.
