The Alphacool ES 2U Reservoir (DDC version) is a compact POM reservoir developed for the Enterprise Solution series, intended for 2U server racks and workstations. It integrates a pump top for a DDC pump and provides multiple connection and mounting options to adapt to different rack layouts. The reservoir measures approximately 62 × 80 × 60 mm and is finished in black polyoxymethylene.

Advantages

The reservoir offers a total of 10 inputs and one output, all using G1/4" threads, enabling flexible loop and fill configurations. Top fill ports include a dedicated inlet for liquid and a second inlet to vent air during filling. The package includes three mounting frames and a double nipple for direct attachment to Alphacool NexXxoX X-Flow radiators, as well as mounting brackets for side-by-side or offset radiator placement. If radiator mounting is not used, the supplied Velcro sheet allows secure attachment inside the server case. Pump installation into the integrated pump top requires only an O-ring and four screws, simplifying assembly.

How to use

Mount the reservoir directly to a compatible Alphacool NexXxoX X-Flow radiator using the supplied double nipple and mounting brackets, or attach it elsewhere in the chassis using the provided Velcro sheet. Install the DDC pump into the integrated pump top by placing the O-ring on the reservoir, seating the pump, and securing it with four screws. Use the top fill ports to fill the reservoir: pour coolant into the primary top inlet while the second top inlet allows trapped air to escape. Connect the inlet and outlet ports as required for your loop using G1/4" fittings.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, ensure all G1/4" connections are tightened correctly and verify the O-ring position before powering the pump. When filling, monitor for air pockets and bleed the loop through the designated top vent to prevent cavitation in the DDC pump.
