Ravensburger Aqua Doodle Travel Dino painting set – ministeps (model 04566)

Ravensburger Aqua Doodle 04566 is a children's water drawing mat designed for reusable, mess-free creative play. The multicolour mat reveals lines and colours when drawn on with the included water-filled pen and then returns to a blank surface as the water evaporates, allowing repeated use without ink, paint or wipes. Recommended for ages 1.5 years and up, the mat is supplied in box packaging and is suitable for home, daycare and travel use where compact, quiet activity is needed.

Advantages

The Aqua Doodle mat provides mess-free creativity because it works solely with water and a specially treated surface, eliminating staining and the need for cleaning cloths. Its lightweight and compact design make it easy to carry in a bag or store in a stroller, and the fast-drying surface quickly restores the drawing area for continued play. The included water pen is sized for small hands and supports the development of fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination without exposure to inks or paints.

Suitable for

• Quiet travel activities in cars, trains or planes
• Independent creative play at home or in daycare
• Developing pre-writing skills, pencil grip and hand-eye coordination
• Mess-free entertainment during meals, waiting periods or appointments

Key specifications

• Portable travel-sized drawing mat designed for toddlers and preschoolers
• Water-filled pen included as the drawing tool; no ink or paint required
• Reusable special drawing surface that reveals colour when wet and fades as it dries
• Lightweight construction for easy transport and storage
• Multicolour dinosaur-themed design suitable for young children

How to use

Fill the included pen with clean water according to the instructions and securely close the cap to prevent leaks. Use the pen to draw on the mat's surface; marks and colours appear where the water contacts the fabric and will fade as the mat dries. Allow the surface to dry fully between sessions to restore a blank drawing area. Supervise children during filling and initial use to avoid spills and ensure correct handling of the pen.

Recommendations

For best results, use fresh clean water and store the mat flat in a dry place after play so the surface can dry evenly. Check that the pen cap is tightened before placing the mat in a bag. Keep the filling process and any small removable parts out of reach of unsupervised toddlers.
