Portable Speaker Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 2 Gold

The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 2 Gold is a portable multiroom speaker that combines a compact, conical aluminium design with 360-degree sound reproduction. With both wired and wireless connectivity and an RMS output of 105 W, it is intended for flexible placement around the home and other indoor spaces. The speaker’s Acoustic Lens Technology, high-grade aluminium body and Active RoomSense adapt audio output to its position to deliver clear, balanced sound across a frequency range of 33–23400 Hz.

Advantages

Constructed from seamless, high-grade aluminium to minimise distortion and provide durable, consistent acoustic properties. The conical cabinet with Acoustic Lens Technology produces omnidirectional sound for even coverage. Active RoomSense automatically adjusts bass, mids and highs depending on the speaker’s location. A proximity sensor and a minimal top control panel with favourite buttons and a rotary wheel offer tactile control alongside wireless streaming options. The gold finish and small footprint allow the speaker to fit into a range of interiors.

Suitable for

• Multiroom audio setups and wireless music streaming
• Background or foreground listening in living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms
• Users who want a designer portable speaker with both wired and wireless connections

Use the top control panel: tap one of the four favourite buttons to start a preset radio station or playlist, rotate the wheel to adjust volume and tap the arrows to change tracks. Pair the speaker with a mobile device or network using the preferred wireless protocol or connect via a wired source when required. Allow the speaker a few moments after placement to let Active RoomSense calibrate audio output for balanced playback.

Recommendations

For best performance, position the speaker away from large reflective surfaces and leave a small clearance around the base to allow the 360-degree sound field to develop. Use the favourite buttons for quick access to commonly used stations or playlists and let Active RoomSense adapt sound to each placement.
