The POLMASK Polymaker Fiberon PA612-CF15 is a high-performance carbon fiber reinforced nylon filament designed for demanding industrial applications. With 15% chopped carbon fiber content, this filament offers exceptional stiffness, dimensional stability, and heat resistance, making it ideal for functional prototypes, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and end-use parts in automotive and aerospace sectors.

Advantages

Enhanced mechanical properties with tensile strength of approx. 100 MPa and tensile modulus of approx. 7 GPa. High heat deflection temperature (HDT @ 0.45 MPa) of approx. 150 °C. Excellent layer adhesion and low warpage when printed in an enclosed environment. The carbon fiber reinforcement provides superior rigidity and reduced shrinkage compared to standard nylon filaments.

Recommendations

Due to the abrasive nature of carbon fiber, use a hardened steel or ruby nozzle. Store filament in a dry environment; pre-drying at 80-100 °C for 6-8 hours is recommended before printing. An enclosed printer is strongly advised to maintain stable temperature and minimize warping.
