How to use

Position the wire or material between the cutting edges close to the joint to get the strongest shearing action. Squeeze the handles firmly using smooth, controlled force; the lever action will amplify hand input for easier cutting. For piano wire and hard wires, make progressive cuts close to the joint and reposition the material if necessary to avoid edge damage. Keep the cutting edges clean and free from debris for best performance.

Recommendations

Do not use the pliers on materials exceeding the specified cutting capacity. Inspect the VDE insulating sleeves regularly for damage before electrical work. For prolonged life, clean and lightly oil the joint and cutting edges after use and store the tool dry.
