Photoelectric sensor Datalogic AS1-LD-SR-010-J

The Datalogic AS1-LD-SR-010-J photoelectric sensor is an area sensor based on light array technology designed for reliable object detection within a controlled height range. Part of the AS1 line, this crossed-beam area sensor supports multiple scanning modes and is available for controlled heights from 100 mm to 300 mm. This specific model is a black sensor with a transmission range of 0.3 to 2.1 m, IP65 protection, and a 24 V output suitable for industrial integration.

Advantages

The AS1-LD-SR-010-J offers crossed beams and four scanning modes to adapt detection behaviour to different applications. It provides accurate detection of small or flat objects (minimum detectable diameter Ø6 mm or flat objects 0.2 x 75 mm) and includes versions with emission power trimmer for sensitivity adjustment. The sensor delivers a PNP output that switches when one or more beams are interrupted. Its compact form factor and IP65 rating enable installation in constrained and dusty or wet environments.

Suitable for

• Object presence/absence detection on conveyors
• Small-part detection in assembly or pick-and-place systems
• Inspection tasks requiring multi-beam area sensing
• Environments requiring IP65-rated sensors

• Minimum detectable object: Ø6 mm or flat 0.2 x 75 mm
• Output: PNP (switches when one or more beams interrupted)
• Protection rating: IP65
• Supply/output voltage: 24 V
• Dimensions (approx.): width 22 mm × depth 150.1 mm × height 43.2 mm

How to use

Mount the sensor so its light array covers the area to be monitored at the appropriate controlled height (this model corresponds to AS1 configurations in the 100–300 mm range). Connect the 24 V supply and wiring for the PNP output according to your control system. If your application requires sensitivity tuning, use the emission power trimmer version to adjust detection range and avoid false triggers. Verify beam alignment and perform test runs with representative objects to confirm reliable detection across the working range.

Recommendations

Install the sensor with a stable, vibration-free mounting and keep the emitter/receiver windows clean to maintain detection reliability; select the controlled height and scanning mode appropriate for the object size and conveyor speed to reduce false positives.
