Photo cardboard HERMA 230x297 mm white 250 sheets

HERMA Photo cardboard 230x297 mm white, 250 sheets, is a sulphate-free, photo-friendly special cardboard designed for high-quality printing, archiving and craft applications. The smooth white surface produces sharp details and vibrant colors when printed or used with photographs. Each sheet includes a stickdown protection sheet made of textured paper and Euro-standard punched holes, making the pack suitable for ring albums and files and for secure, long-term storage of prints and documents.

Advantages

This photo cardboard offers a combination of print compatibility and archive-safe properties: sulphate-free composition reduces risk of paper degradation over time while the photo-friendly surface preserves image clarity. The included textured stickdown protection sheet prevents direct contact between photos and adjacent sheets, reducing abrasion and sticking. Euro-standard punched holes enable straightforward insertion into ring binders and HERMA ring albums, while the consistent sheet size ensures uniform results across prints and projects.

Suitable for

• Mounting and protecting photographic prints
• Presentations, portfolios and visual displays
• Arts, crafts and scrapbooking projects
• Office archiving and documentation storage
• Printer-based poster and image printing in A-series adjacent formats

How to use

For mounting photographs or prints, place the image on the printable face of the cardboard and use the textured stickdown protection sheet to cover the image before storing or stacking. If using a printer, check printer compatibility with thicker cardboard and feed single sheets to avoid jams. Align sheets carefully with templates or guides when trimming or cutting to maintain clean edges. For binder storage, insert sheets using the Euro-standard holes and secure with ring mechanisms. Allow inks to dry fully before stacking or inserting into albums.

Recommendations

Use the cardboard in a dry, dust-free environment and store unopened packs flat to maintain sheet integrity. When printing, select a media type or paper weight setting closest to heavy paper or cardstock to optimize print quality. For archival storage, combine the sulphate-free cardboard with acid-free sleeves or interleaving paper for additional long-term protection.
