Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

Shipping & Returns

The Philips Ambilight 42OLED810/12 is a 42" Smart TV with a 4K Ultra HD OLED panel offering a 3840 x 2160 resolution. Equipped with Ambilight backlighting, this television delivers deep blacks, high contrast and accurate colours inherent to OLED technology. The set runs Google TV for access to streaming apps and voice search, and supports multiple digital signal formats including DVB-C, DVB-S and DVB-T. Built-in Wi‑Fi and Ethernet LAN enable stable online streaming and media browsing. The screen size and slim black housing make the model suitable for compact living rooms, bedrooms or secondary viewing areas.

Advantages

OLED display technology provides pixel-level control for true black levels and improved contrast compared with conventional LCD displays. Ambilight lighting projects colour beyond the screen edges to reduce eye strain and increase perceived immersion. The 4K Ultra HD resolution ensures detailed images for movies, sports and gaming. Google TV integrates streaming services and voice control, simplifying content search and app management. Multiple tuner support and network connectivity offer flexible reception and streaming options.

How to use

Place the TV on a stable surface or mount it on a compatible wall bracket following the manufacturer’s instructions. Connect antenna, cable or satellite inputs for DVB reception or set up network access via Wi‑Fi or Ethernet to use streaming apps on Google TV. Use the on-screen setup wizard to configure picture mode, Ambilight behaviour and network settings. For best picture quality, select an appropriate picture preset for the content (Movie, Game, or Vivid) and enable HDR content playback where available.

Recommendations

For balanced image quality in typical viewing conditions, use the Movie picture mode with Ambilight set to match on-screen colours. When gaming, enable any low-latency or game mode features provided in the TV settings to reduce input lag. Keep firmware up to date via the network settings to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
