The Petrol Brushcutter EINHELL GC-BC 52 I AS is a petrol-powered garden tool designed for cutting grass and light vegetation in areas without mains power. Driven by a high-quality two-stroke engine delivering the power equivalent of 1500 W and capable of 7,200 RPM, this brushcutter accepts a 2.4 mm cutting line (4 m supplied) and can also be fitted with a 3-tooth knife for tougher growth. The unit is portable at 8 kg and features a split shaft for compact transport and storage, digital ignition for stable operation, and a centrifugal clutch that disengages the cutting tool at idle for added safety.
Advantages
The GC-BC 52 I AS combines a robust two-stroke engine with a crank shaft mounted on double bearings and an anti-vibration system to provide smooth operation and reduced operator fatigue. A universally adjustable aluminium two-hand "bike handle" gives intuitive control and precise guidance during edging and clearing tasks. Additional convenience comes from a Quick-Start system with an easily accessible primer and automatic choke, a high-comfort harness for extended use, and the option to switch between a twin line spool with automatic jog feed and a metal knife for different cutting requirements.
Suitable for
Cutting grass and light weeds in gardens, allotments, and public green areas
Edging lawns and trimming around trees, fences, and garden beds
Clearing overgrown vegetation on paths, embankments, and hard-to-reach spots
Occasional cutting of thicker stems and small brush when fitted with a 3-tooth knife

Use the Quick-Start primer and auto choke procedure to start the engine, then allow the motor to warm up. For general grass trimming use the twin line spool with automatic jog feed; switch to the 3-tooth knife only when tackling thicker stems or denser brush. Maintain a steady walking pace, keep the cutting head at the recommended height and angle for the task, and stop the engine before making adjustments or changing attachments.
Recommendations
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye and ear protection, long trousers, and sturdy footwear. Check the working area for stones, wires, and other foreign objects before operation. Perform regular maintenance including cleaning the air filter, checking the cutting line condition, inspecting the clutch and gearbox area, and following the manufacturer’s service intervals to ensure long service life and safe operation.
