Adjustable passive holder for mobile devices with a height of 120–150 mm. The Brodit 511848 is designed to hold mobile phones, smartphones, tablets and UMPCs (with or without a protective case) and provides a stable mounting option in a car using a tilt swivel that allows angle adjustment. The top and bottom arms have padded cushions for improved grip and the holder leaves room for a charging cable to be connected while the device is mounted.

How to use

Measure your device to confirm it falls within the holder’s 120–150 mm height range and does not exceed the maximum thickness of about 25 mm. Place the device between the padded top and bottom arms so the cushions contact the device and provide friction. Mount the holder in the car using the appropriate ProClip or compatible mounting solution and adjust the tilt swivel to the desired viewing angle. If needed, connect a charging cable while the device is in the holder.

Recommendations

Tablets must not be installed on a vehicle dashboard if they block the driver’s view or obstruct key controls. The ProClip system is primarily designed for smaller devices; installations of larger tablets on a dashboard must be evaluated by the user for each vehicle and tablet combination. Installation and placement are the customer’s responsibility. Brodit recommends using headrest mounts for tablet use in vehicles when appropriate.
