Paper shredder HP Pro Shredder 24CC — particle-cut, 24-sheet capacity, 4 x 35 mm, 30 L bin, 680 W, 220 mm feed, Black

HP Pro Shredder 24CC is a particle-cut office shredder designed to securely destroy paper and plastic media. The unit shreds up to 24 sheets at once into 4 x 35 mm particles, accepts staples, paper clips and credit cards, and features a 220 mm feed width. With a 30 L waste bin and castor wheels, it is built for medium-duty office environments. The shredder operates at approximately 65 dB and includes automatic reversing and overheat protection for reliable, continuous use.

Advantages

The particle-cut mechanism provides a higher level of document security compared with strip-cut models while maintaining a 24-sheet throughput for efficient batch processing. A 30 L bin reduces the frequency of emptying, and castor wheels enable easy repositioning within an office. Built-in safety and durability features such as automatic reversing, overheat protection and a 680 W motor support stable operation under regular office loads. The machine’s 220 mm feed width accommodates standard paper sizes and common mixed media like credit cards.

How to use

Place the shredder on a stable, level surface and lock the castor wheels if required. Ensure the waste bin is correctly inserted before operating. Insert paper or other approved items into the feed slot up to the recommended 24-sheet capacity and within the 220 mm feed width; the shredder will start automatically. For thicker stacks, reduce the number of sheets to avoid overload and use the automatic reverse function if a jam occurs. Allow the unit to cool if the overheat protection engages, and follow the manufacturer guidance for rest intervals during heavy use.

Recommendations

For consistent performance, feed evenly aligned sheets and avoid combining large quantities of mixed media in a single pass. Regularly empty the 30 L bin before it becomes overfull to maintain shredding efficiency. Use the automatic reverse feature and separate small amounts of metal (staples, clips) from very thick stacks to reduce strain on cutting elements. Operate the shredder in a ventilated area and follow rated duty cycles to prevent overheating.
