Networking Cable ShiverPeaks BS75117-R Red 7.5m Cat5e F/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75117-R is a 7.5 meter Cat5e networking cable with F/UTP shielding and factory-crimped RJ-45 connectors at both ends. It is designed to support wired Ethernet connections up to 1000 Mbit/s and provides a reliable physical link between computers, switches, routers, and other networked devices. The cable’s F/UTP construction helps reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives, while the red jacket makes cable runs easy to identify in patch panels and workspaces.

Advantages

The F/UTP shielded design offers improved protection against external electromagnetic interference, which helps maintain signal integrity in environments with electronic equipment or adjacent cabling. Cat5e specification ensures gigabit-capable performance for common home and office applications, and the 7.5 m length provides flexibility for typical desk-to-wall or rack-to-equipment connections. Pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors provide plug-and-play convenience and consistent terminations.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops, gaming consoles and streaming devices to a router or switch
• Patch panel to switch or wall outlet connections in small offices and home networks
• Temporary or permanent cabling where a visible colored cable helps identification

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat5e
• Shielding type: Foil over overall braid (F/UTP)
• Length: 7.5 metres
• Data rate support: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends, factory-terminated
• Outer jacket colour: Red

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network port of your device (computer, switch, router or other Ethernet-enabled equipment) and plug the other connector into the corresponding port on the network infrastructure. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the locking clip engages. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of heat; secure it with cable ties or clips as needed to maintain tidy runs and prevent strain at termination points.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with mains power lines for long distances. Use this Cat5e F/UTP cable for gigabit local area network connections within homes and offices; for structured cabling in high-interference industrial environments consider higher-category shielded cables where appropriate.
