How to use

Connect the Orbi 870 satellite to your existing Orbi router or plug it into your modem and follow the Orbi app instructions for setup. The app guides through network creation, placement suggestions for optimal coverage, and configuring wired connections such as the 10 Gig internet port or 2.5 Gig LAN. Use the app to monitor device connections, apply firmware updates, and enable NETGEAR Armor or parental controls if desired.

Recommendations

Place the satellite centrally on each floor and avoid large metal objects or thick walls between units to maximize 360° coverage. For multi-gig performance, connect the primary unit to a compatible modem via the 10 Gig port and use 2.5 Gig wired connections for high-demand wired devices.
