How to use

Install the M4300-24X in a standard 19" rack using the included mounting brackets and connect power to a suitable AC source. Use the web GUI or CLI to perform initial configuration, including IP addressing, VLANs, L3 routing, and stack membership. When deploying mixed-model stacks, connect any available 10G port (RJ45, SFP+, or DAC) between units to form the virtual chassis. Configure NSF and redundancy features to enable hitless failover and ensure continuous forwarding across stack members.

Recommendations

For high-availability deployments, enable nonstop forwarding and configure redundant stack links and dual power sources where available. Use the NMS300 management platform for centralized firmware updates and mass configuration, and plan for staged migration from 1G to 10G by leveraging the M4300 series mixed-stacking capability.
