How to use

Install cartridges that contain an HP chip or reused HP electronic circuitry. Keep the printer firmware up to date to ensure compatibility and security. If a cartridge is blocked, check that it contains an acceptable HP chip or electronic circuitry and verify whether a firmware update has changed supported cartridge types.

Recommendations

For uninterrupted operation, use cartridges with new or reused HP chips and install firmware updates as they become available. If a previously working cartridge stops functioning after an update, confirm chip type and consult the cartridge supplier.
