Modeling clay Staedtler 813 SLE — modeling compound, assorted colours, 1 piece, for children

Staedtler 813 SLE is a single-piece modeling clay supplied in assorted colours and intended for children. The soft, non-sticky compound is formulated for tactile play and basic sculpting, supporting early creative activities and fine motor development. It is suitable for classroom use, home crafts and educational projects where safe, easy-to-handle modelling material is required.

Advantages

The modelling compound is exceptionally soft and clean, making it easy for children to knead, cut, blend, squeeze and roll out. It does not stick to hands or tools, and is compatible with a range of basic modelling implements. The material is dermatologically tested and CE-conformant, providing conformity with common safety expectations for children’s play materials.

Suitable for

• Preschool and primary school art and craft activities
• Home creative play and hands-on learning
• Developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
• Simple sculpting exercises and shape/color exploration

When it may not be suitable

This modelling clay is designed for children and light creative tasks; it is not intended for detailed professional sculpting or permanent models. It may not perform well for projects requiring strong adhesion, baking, firing or long-term structural stability.

• Storage: requires airtight storage after use to retain softness

Recommendations

Use on a clean, non-porous surface and provide simple tools such as rollers, plastic knives and cutters for varied exercises. Limit mixing of large amounts of different colours to avoid muddying hues. Encourage short, supervised sessions to develop dexterity and creativity while maintaining material condition.
