The DELL Precision 5690 16" mobile workstation combines a 16" Full HD+ (1920 x 1200) display with an Intel Core Ultra 7 165H processor, 32 GB LPDDR5x memory and a 1 TB SSD to deliver consistent performance for professional workflows. Equipped with an NVIDIA RTX 1000 Ada discrete graphics card and supplied with Windows 11 Pro, this grey-toned unit is designed for demanding applications that require reliable compute power, responsive graphics and substantial local storage while remaining portable at approximately 2.03 kg.

Advantages

High-performance components provide fluid multitasking and faster project turnaround: the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor together with 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory supports complex datasets and multiple professional applications running concurrently. The 1 TB SSD ensures quick boot times and fast file access, while the NVIDIA RTX 1000 Ada discrete graphics card improves rendering, visualization and GPU-accelerated workloads. The 16" 1920 x 1200 display offers a balance between workspace and mobility, and Windows 11 Pro provides business-oriented features and security controls out of the box.

Suitable for

3D modeling and CAD workflows that benefit from GPU acceleration
Photo and video editing with large files and multitasking demands
Software development and compiling on the go
Data analysis and spreadsheet-heavy tasks requiring memory and storage
Remote work and business productivity with enterprise-level OS features

How to use

Power on the workstation and complete the initial Windows 11 Pro setup following the on-screen prompts. Install required professional applications and GPU drivers to ensure the NVIDIA RTX 1000 Ada is recognized and optimised by your software. Use the system settings to configure power profiles and display preferences for a balance between performance and battery life. Store active projects on the internal 1 TB SSD for fast access and use backups or external storage for archiving large datasets.

Recommendations

For optimal performance in graphics-intensive or compute-heavy tasks, connect the workstation to mains power, enable the high-performance power profile in Windows, and keep GPU and system drivers up to date. Regularly back up project files from the internal SSD and maintain adequate ventilation during prolonged high-load sessions to manage thermals and sustain performance.
