Mixer Midas DM12 12-channel analog mixing console with 4 bus

The Midas DM12 is a 12-channel analog mixing console with 4 bus routing, engineered for live sound reinforcement and small venue applications. It offers per-channel level, EQ and routing controls to create four subgroups and the main stereo output, enabling straightforward mixing of instruments and vocals. The compact layout emphasizes reliable analog signal paths and practical routing options for DJs, bands and event technicians who require a moderate channel count and flexible bus management.

Advantages

The console delivers hands-on control over each channel with clear routing to four auxiliary buses and the main outputs, facilitating on-the-fly subgroup creation and monitoring. Its analog design provides predictable audio behavior and low-latency operation, while the compact footprint makes it suitable for transport to small gigs and rehearsals. Practical channel metering and ergonomic control placement support efficient workflow during live mixing.

Suitable for

• Small live venues and club stages
• Mobile DJs and compact DJ setups
• Rehearsal rooms and band practices
• Event technicians needing subgrouping and stage monitoring

Key specifications

• 12 input channels with individual gain and level control
• 4 assignable subgroup buses plus main stereo output routing
• Per-channel equalization for tonal adjustment
• Channel routing switches for subgroup and main mix assignment
• Compact footprint suited to small stages and transport
• Analog signal path providing low-latency performance

How to use

Connect microphones and line-level instruments to the appropriate input channels, set input gain to achieve a healthy signal without clipping, then adjust per-channel EQ to fit each source in the mix. Use the channel routing switches to assign signals to any of the four subgroups or directly to the main stereo outputs. Create submixes by balancing subgroup faders and send subgroup outputs to monitors or group processors as required. Monitor levels with the console’s metering while making incremental adjustments during soundcheck and performance.

Recommendations

For reliable live operation, perform a soundcheck with all connected sources and set conservative gain staging to preserve headroom. Use subgroup buses to manage monitor mixes or apply group processing, and keep channel EQ adjustments subtle to maintain natural instrument and vocal timbres.
