How to use

Install one adapter at the junction box and the matching adapter at the distributor to create the split path for the two services. Plug the 8-pin RJ45 plug into the permanently laid CAT5e-style cable and connect the two RJ45 sockets to the Ethernet device (using the socket wired for pins 1-2-3-6) and to the telephone/ISDN device (using the socket wired for pins 3-4-5-6). Ensure correct pin assignment and that all connections are secure before powering devices.

Recommendations

Use these adapters only in pairs (one at each end of the run) and only for Fast Ethernet (10/100 MBit) applications. Do not use for Gigabit Ethernet or with Power over Ethernet (PoE). Verify that the structured cabling and connected devices support the required split configuration before deployment.
