The wireless hot-swap keyboard also has a useful dial for controlling various functions and a hot-swap base for replacing individual switches. The rechargeable keyboard can be connected via Bluetooth or using a standard cable. The keyboard is great for Mac users too: The CHERRY KW 300 MX comes with additional keycaps that you can use to easily convert the keyboard from a Windows layout to a Mac layout. If you only use Windows, the mechanical keyboard is also available without the additional keycaps as the CHERRY KW 300W MX.

Excellent workmanship meets extensive features: Our compact hot-swap CHERRY KW 300 MX keyboard features high-quality PBT keycaps, a sound-proofed housing and our original CHERRY MX2A switches. What's more, the keyboard has a handy dial that can be used to control various functions and a hot-swap base for replacing individual switches. In addition to the white, dimmable lighting, the keyboard also has three Bluetooth channels and a cable channel. A particular highlight of this rechargeable compact keyboard is that it is available in two different versions: The KW 300W MX with its classic Windows layout, and the KW 300 MX with additional keycaps for converting the keyboard to a Mac layout.

Compact Design with Sound-Proofed Housing
The compact dimensions of the CHERRY KW 300 MX not only free up more space on your desk, but also give you more freedom of movement with your mouse. As there is no number pad, the arm using the mouse does not have to move so far away, meaning you automatically assume a more natural and comfortable posture. The inside of the mechanical hot-swap keyboard is equipped with several layers of foam. In combination with the lubricated MX2A switches and the high-quality PBT keycaps, this results in a rich yet very quiet typing sound, which you quickly won't want to go without.

Hot-Swappable CHERRY MX2A Switches
Our CHERRY MX2A switches are manufactured in Germany and provide a beautifully smooth typing experience and improved acoustics. Furthermore, you can expect an enormously long service life of up to 100 million keystrokes (depending on the switch variant selected) without any loss of input quality — and all the while maintaining unbeatable precision. A particularly practical feature of the mechanical keyboard is that it comes with a hot-swap base that makes it easy to remove and replace each individual switch with your preferred MX switches. To do this, simply insert the key of your choice into the special tool — no need for soldering or screws.

Work Flexibly across Multiple Devices
In addition to the standard cable channel, the CHERRY KW 300 MX offers three additional Bluetooth channels, allowing you to connect up to four devices to the keyboard at the same time. You can easily switch back and forth between each device using the F1 to F4 keys. Two-color LEDs in these keys indicate which channel is connected.

Powerful Battery
The integrated lithium battery in the KW 300 MX can be charged easily using the accompanying USB-C cable. A full charge can last up to several weeks, depending on the lighting intensity you choose and how often you use the compact keyboard. If the lighting is turned off, you can expect approximately six weeks of use. When the LEDs are turned on, a full charge will last for around one week. And the best part: The small hot-swap keyboard can also be charged while you carry on working.

Practical Features
The KW 300 MX may be compact, but it still has plenty of features up its sleeve: The handy dial allows you to control the volume, brightness or channel. What's more, the mechanical office keyboard can also be switched on or off using the dial. Thanks to the Full-N-Key rollover, all keys are read simultaneously and no input is lost. Anti-ghosting in turn prevents incorrect inputs. Last but not least, the KW 300 MX boasts two feet that can be used to adjust the angle of inclination of the keyboard in seconds.

The W Makes All the Difference
Our compact hot-swap office keyboard is available in two different versions: The CHERRY KW 300W MX for working exclusively on devices that use a Windows layout, and the CHERRY KW 300 MX with additional keycaps for converting the keyboard to a Mac layout. So if you sometimes work on a Windows device and other times on a Mac, you can easily change the layout as and when needed.

How to use

Connect the keyboard via the included USB-C cable for wired operation or pair it with up to three Bluetooth devices and switch between them using F1–F4. Use the control dial to adjust volume, screen brightness or select the active channel; the dial also powers the keyboard on and off. To replace switches, remove the keycap, insert the switch into the hot-swap socket using the special tool and press in — no soldering required. Charge the built-in battery with the supplied USB-C cable; charging can continue while the keyboard is in use.

Recommendations

For quieter typing, keep the backlighting off or at low intensity to extend battery life (up to ~6 weeks without LEDs; around one week with LEDs on, depending on usage). Use the compact 75% layout to save desk space and position your mouse for a more natural arm posture. If you use both Mac and Windows devices, choose the KW 300 MX variant with additional Mac keycaps or swap to the KW 300W MX when working only on Windows.
