Lindy 47416 networking cable Black 5 m Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy 47416 is a 5 m Cat6A networking cable with S/FTP construction (pairs in metal foil) and a 6.0 mm diameter TPE sheath. It supports 10/100/1000Base-T and 10GBase-TX transmission, meets Class EA / Category 6A performance and is suitable for frequencies up to 500 MHz. Both ends terminate in shielded RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts and a snagless, latch-protected design. The cable is compatible with PoE (IEEE 802.3af) and PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) and is finished in black.

How to use

Connect the shielded RJ45 plug at each end to the corresponding RJ45 ports on network devices such as switches, patch panels or NICs. Ensure the shield is properly grounded at least at one end when used in environments with significant electromagnetic interference to maintain the effectiveness of the S/FTP shielding. Route the cable without excessive bending (avoid tight bends below the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius) and secure it with appropriate cable management to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal 10G performance, use within recommended horizontal cabling lengths and verify installation with channel certification testing (Fluke or equivalent) to confirm Class EA parameters.
