How to use

Connect the DisplayPort end to the DP output on your laptop, desktop or graphics card and connect the HDMI end to the target HDMI display or projector. Ensure the source device is set to output video (and audio if required) over DisplayPort. If the display does not automatically select the HDMI input, choose the correct HDMI input using the display’s input/source menu. For multi-monitor configurations, configure display arrangement and resolution in your operating system or graphics driver settings.

Recommendations

Audio over HDMI is available only when the source graphics adapter supports audio output over DisplayPort. Some integrated graphics adapters (for example certain Mobile Intel chipsets) do not support audio over DisplayPort even if HDMI audio drivers are present; in those cases use a separate audio connection. Also note that some NVIDIA drivers may not provide full 4:4:4 chroma at 4K@60Hz when converting from DP/mDP to HDMI and may fall back to 4:2:2.
