Lindy 15m Fibre Optic Hybrid USB Type C Cable, Audio / Video Only

The Lindy Fibre Optic Hybrid USB Type C Cable (15 m) is a hybrid fibre-and-copper cable designed to transmit USB audio and video signals reliably over extended distances. Combining a thin, flexible fibre core with standard copper conductors and premium metal narrow USB Type C connectors on both ends, this 15 metre black cable is intended for professional AV installations, retail and transport signage, and other situations that require long runs and enhanced EMI/RFI resistance. The cable supports DisplayPort 1.2 features and delivers up to 4K UHD (3840x2160@60Hz) resolution with HDR colour enhancement.

Advantages

The hybrid construction provides long-distance transmission capability while retaining the convenience and compatibility of USB Type C connectors. Thin, flexible construction and narrow metal connectors allow easy installation through conduits and confined spaces without damaging the internal cable structure. High resistance to electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference helps maintain signal integrity in commercial and mission-critical AV environments. Support for DP 1.2 and HDR ensures high-resolution, high-contrast video suitable for demanding display applications.

Suitable for

• Professional AV installations and event setups
• Retail displays and digital signage
• Transportation signage and information displays
• Environments with high EMI/RFI where long cable runs are required

How to use

Connect the USB Type C connector at each end to the compatible source and display devices ensuring secure seating in the ports. Route the thin cable through conduits or tight spaces as needed; the narrow metal connector and flexible cable jacket reduce the risk of damage during installation. Use standard device settings to enable DP 1.2 and HDR where required. Verify the display resolution and refresh rate in the connected device’s output settings to ensure 3840x2160@60Hz operation.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force during installation. Keep connectors clean and free from debris; when used in electrically noisy environments, verify shielding and grounding of associated equipment to maximize signal integrity.
