Why choose it

The TX5 Evo Mid GTX excels in technical terrain where grip and protection are non-negotiable. The Vibram MegaGrip compound is renowned for its stickiness on wet surfaces, and the Impact Brake System reduces shock on descents. The GORE-TEX lining keeps your feet dry without overheating, while the Ortholite footbed adds cushioning that lasts. The nubuck leather upper offers durability and a classic look, reinforced by a rubber rand for abrasion resistance. Whether you're scrambling over boulders or grinding out miles on a long approach, these boots provide the stability and confidence you need.

Ideal use cases

• Day hiking on rocky, uneven trails
• Multi-day backpacking with a heavy pack
• Approach hikes to climbing crags
• Wet and muddy conditions where waterproofing is essential
• Alpine treks with variable terrain

Good to know

The TX5 Evo Mid GTX runs true to size, but if you plan to wear thick hiking socks, consider sizing up by half. The GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining is optimized for moderate temperatures and higher activity levels, preventing overheating during strenuous climbs. The Mythos lacing system allows for a precise, secure fit from toe to ankle. With a 3.5 mm lug depth and 8 mm drop, these boots strike a balance between aggressive traction and all-day comfort.
