How to use

Open the Petzl Spatha using one hand and ensure the locking mechanism engages before applying force. Use the blade for controlled cuts on rope, webbing or cordage by keeping the material steady and cutting at a shallow angle to avoid accidental slips. For food preparation, clean the blade before and after use. Close the knife only after ensuring your fingers are clear of the folding path and the blade is clean and dry.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective measures when cutting under load or working at height. Regularly inspect the locking mechanism and blade for wear and maintain the knife by cleaning and lubricating the pivot area. Store the knife dry and keep it out of reach of children.
