Kingston IronKey Locker+ 50 is a hardware-encrypted USB 3.1 flash drive that uses XTS-AES 256-bit encryption to protect stored data. The drive includes firmware safeguards against BadUSB and Brute Force attacks, supports TAA compliance, and offers automatic USBtoCloud® backup to link drive data with personal cloud services such as Google Drive™, OneDrive™, Amazon Cloud Drive, Dropbox™ or Box. No additional software installation is required; the security and access tools are built into the drive and it is compatible with Windows® and macOS®.

How to use

Plug the Kingston IronKey Locker+ 50 into a USB port on a Windows or macOS system. Follow the on-drive prompts to set up Admin and optional User passwords, choosing Complex or Passphrase mode according to your requirements. Use the virtual keyboard when entering sensitive credentials to reduce exposure to keyloggers, and enable the “eye” function if needed to verify typed characters. Configure the optional USBtoCloud® backup service on the drive to link files with your chosen personal cloud account; no separate software installation is required.

Recommendations

Choose a strong Admin password and keep it in a secure location. Use the Admin account to reset a forgotten User password when necessary. Enable the virtual keyboard in untrusted environments and consider enabling automatic USBtoCloud® backup if you need remote access to drive content via your personal cloud service.
