Each module features a metalized housing with 360° shield contacting, a reclosable intelligent cable manager for strain relief and tool-free LSA insulation displacement connectors color-coded to EIA/TIA 568 A & B. With CAT 6A performance up to 500 MHz and support for 10GBase-T, the modules are intended for high-speed Ethernet applications and PoE deployment in professional installations. The small dimensions (14.5 × 34.5 × 21 mm) allow dense row installation in 19" 1U panels and compatibility with design-oriented junction boxes.

How to use

Prepare the flat or round copper cable by stripping the outer sheath to expose individual conductors. Open the reclosable intelligent cable manager, route the conductors into the color-coded LSA termination slots according to EIA/TIA 568 A or B, and close the cable manager to provide strain relief and cable fixing. Termination is performed tool-free via the insulation displacement connector. Insert the plug into the RJ-45 socket and verify the link with appropriate network testing equipment. For panel or wall-plate installation, snap the keystone modules into the compatible frames or plates and ensure 360° shield contact by connecting the module shield to the chassis ground.

Recommendations

Use solid AWG 22/1 installation cable for optimum CAT 6A performance and verify PoE power classes when deploying powered devices. Ensure proper grounding of the shielded modules in panels or distribution boxes to maintain EMI protection.
