How to use

Connect the USB Type-C plug to a computer or device whose USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (often marked with a DP logo) or to a Thunderbolt 3 port. Plug the VGA connector into the VGA input of a monitor or projector. The cable is USB powered and should establish a video signal automatically on supported operating systems; no separate power supply is needed. If necessary, select the external display in the operating system display settings.

Recommendations

Verify that the source device’s USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (or is a Thunderbolt 3 port) before use; otherwise video transmission will not be available. For best image quality, use at resolutions supported by both the source device and the VGA display.
