The InLine USB 3.2 Gen.1 active extension cable with a USB-C male to USB-A female connection extends USB ports to a more convenient location without signal loss. With integrated electronics it supports reliable data transmission over a 10 m distance and a data transfer rate of up to 5 Gb/s. The cable is suitable for use with external hard drives, printers, webcams, headsets, mice, keyboards and other USB devices and is compatible with Windows 7 and macOS 10 or newer. For extensions of 10 m and longer a separate plug-in power supply is recommended and a power adapter is included with this product. Note: the cable is not cascadable and cannot be extended by additional active extensions.

How to use

Connect the USB-C male end of the extension cable to the host device or to the original USB cable, and plug the USB-A female port to the peripheral device. If the peripheral requires additional power or when using extensions of 10 m or longer, connect the supplied plug-in power supply to the cable’s power input to ensure stable operation. The cable supports hot-swap Plug and Play, so devices can be connected or disconnected during operation without rebooting.

Recommendations

For reliable high-speed transfers, avoid running the cable parallel to strong electromagnetic sources (large power cables, transformers) and use the included power adapter for distances of 10 m or more. Do not attempt to cascade multiple active extensions.
