The InLine USB 3.2 Gen.1 active extension cable (USB-A male to USB-C female, 15 m) lets you relocate USB ports from hard-to-reach places to a convenient position. Integrated electronics maintain signal integrity across the full 15 m length, enabling reliable connection of devices such as external hard drives, printers, webcams, headsets, mice and keyboards. The cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 data rates up to 5 Gb/s and is compatible with Windows 7 and macOS 10 and newer. For extensions of 10 m or longer, the included external plug-in power supply is recommended.

How to use

Connect the USB-A male end to the host computer or USB hub and plug the USB-C female connector into the device using its USB-C cable or adapter. If the connected device draws more power or the extension length is 10 m or longer, connect the supplied external plug-in power supply to the cable’s power input before use. The cable supports hot-plugging, so devices can be connected or disconnected while the system is running.

Recommendations

For reliable operation at the full 15 m length, use the included 5.0 V/1.0 A power supply for devices with higher power demands. Do not attempt to cascade multiple active extensions; this product is not designed for chaining with other active extenders.
