The InLine® USB 2.0 active extension with USB-A plug to USB-A socket offers a powerful solution for professional use where USB connections over longer distances are required. Thanks to the integrated signal amplification, your data connections remain stable and interference-free even with cable lengths of up to 25 meters.

This cable is ideal for connecting external hard drives, keyboards, mice or other USB-A peripherals in offices, public authorities or industrial facilities. The optional power supply via an additional USB-C port on the receiver side allows the operation of devices with higher power requirements. Installation is plug & play, without any additional drivers or software.

How to use

Connect the USB-A male end of the active extension to the host computer or to an upstream USB hub, then plug the USB device into the USB-A female end. Ensure both ends are fully inserted. The active circuitry in the cable will amplify the signal automatically; no external power or drivers are normally required for typical USB 2.0 devices. If a connected device requires external power, use its own power supply as specified by the device manufacturer.

Recommendations

Use this active extension for USB 2.0 peripherals that do not exceed the USB power delivery of the host or device; for high-power devices, use a powered USB hub or an extension with dedicated power. Avoid sharp bends and electromagnetic interference sources (large transformers, wireless routers) along the cable route to preserve signal quality.
