This InLine HDMI cable with specification 1.4 supports 3D content and also has an Ethernet channel and an audio return channel. The audio return channel (ARC) transmits audio signals from the TV to the AV receiver, for example. This allows a speaker system to be integrated into the multimedia setup without additional cables. The Ethernet channel enables network connections between HDMI devices. Significantly higher resolutions than Full HD up to 4kx2k (@30Hz) are supported up to a distance of 5m. (only applies to the flat cable version).

If your 4k HDMI devices or their connections only support a bandwidth of 4k@30Hz, the InLine HDMI cable is suitable for connecting these components. Especially for 4k applications with a low refresh rate such as normal film playback, image editing, presentations and general work on the computer, this bandwidth is sufficient.

How to use

Connect one HDMI Type A plug to the source device (player, console, PC or notebook) and the other plug to the display device (TV, projector or monitor) or AV receiver. If the cable or device ports are in confined positions, use the rotating connector to align the plug for a secure fit. Ensure both devices support the desired modes (for example 3D or 4k@30Hz) in their settings. For ARC functionality, connect the cable to the HDMI ARC-labelled port on the TV and the corresponding ARC port on the AV receiver and enable ARC in the devices' audio settings.

Recommendations

Use this HDMI 1.4 cable for 4k sources and displays limited to 30 Hz, for Full HD and 3D setups, streaming devices on Full HD TVs, and older gaming consoles. For 4k@60Hz or HDR features, choose a cable compliant with HDMI 2.0 or higher.
