The InLine® 16-port Gigabit network switch is a powerful and uncomplicated solution for expanding existing network infrastructures. Each of the sixteen RJ45 ports automatically detects the speed of the connected devices (10/100/1000 Mb/s) and adapts flexibly in half or full duplex mode.
Thanks to Auto-MDI/MDI-X, the type of network cable used is irrelevant. The store-and-forward technology ensures efficient forwarding of data packets and prevents the transmission of faulty data. With IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE), cable lengths and network activities are detected to dynamically reduce energy consumption - ideal for sustainable IT environments.
The switch is designed to be fanless and therefore quiet in operation, perfect for office, laboratory or server rack environments. The 19-inch rack mounting in 1U enables easy integration into existing structures.

How to use

Mount the switch in a 19" 1U rack or place it on a flat surface. Connect network devices to the RJ-45 ports using standard Ethernet cables; Auto MDI/MDI-X handles crossover detection automatically. Power on the switch and allow a short time for each port to auto-negotiate link speed and duplex. Monitor link LEDs to confirm successful connections. The switch requires no additional configuration for basic layer-2 switching.

Recommendations

For optimal energy savings, use cables with appropriate lengths and place the switch in a location with adequate ventilation despite its fanless design. Regularly check firmware and network settings of connected devices if integrating into larger managed networks.
