This InLine® PCI Express card enables the simple expansion of a PC by three external and one internal USB 3.2 Gen.1 port. Thanks to the VIA VL805 host controller, the card offers USB super speed with up to 5 Gb/sand is completely backwards compatiblewith older USB standards.
For the stable operation of external devices with higher power consumption, the card has a Molex-compatible 4-pin power connector, which ensures an additional power supply if required. The card supports Plug & Play and Hot Plugand is ready for immediate use.

How to use

Power off the PC and install the card into an available PCIe slot (x1, x4, x8 or x16). If external devices require additional power, connect a free Molex-compatible 4-pin cable from the system power supply to the card. Replace the slot bracket if needed for low-profile cases using the supplied bracket. Boot the system and connect USB devices to the external or internal Type-A ports. The card supports Plug & Play and Hot Plug; on supported operating systems no extra driver installation is normally required.

Recommendations

For reliable performance with high-current devices (external drives, some USB hubs, or devices with high peak draws), connect the Molex-compatible 4-pin power cable. Ensure the motherboard supports PCI Express Base Specification 1.0 or higher and that a suitable free PCIe slot is available. For legacy systems, verify OS compatibility: Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP or Linux kernel 2.6.31 and later.
