The BlueOptics Q28-AOC-7M-EE-BO is a 7-metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for short-range, high-bandwidth connections in data centres and enterprise networks. It uses OM3 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core and supports 100GBASE-SR4 Ethernet applications. The cable includes integrated optic/electrical conversion in each QSFP28 module, providing a hot-pluggable link between compatible switches, servers and network appliances while offering reduced weight, improved flexibility and a smaller bend radius compared with direct-attach twinax solutions.
