The HP 724720-181 USB AZERTY Keyboard Black Full-size Wired is a full-size (100%) desktop keyboard with an AZERTY layout and a wired USB connection. Its black finish and standard key set make it suitable for everyday typing tasks in home and office environments. The wired design ensures a stable connection without the need for batteries or pairing, and the full-size layout includes a numeric keypad for data entry and spreadsheet work.

Advantages

This HP wired keyboard provides a reliable USB connection and a familiar AZERTY layout tailored for Belgian and French-language users. The full-size form factor with dedicated numeric keypad supports extended typing sessions and numerical input. Its simple black design integrates easily with existing desktop setups and peripherals.

Suitable for

• Everyday office typing and data entry
• Home workstation use and remote work
• Spreadsheet and accounting tasks requiring a numeric keypad
• Users preferring a wired USB connection for stability

When it may not be suitable

This wired full-size keyboard is not ideal for users who require portability or a compact form factor such as 60% or tenkeyless layouts. It may also be unsuitable for those who prefer wireless connectivity or integrated ergonomic features like a split design or wrist rest.

Key specifications

• Interface: USB wired connection
• Form factor: Full-size (100%) with numeric keypad
• Layout: AZERTY
• Colour: Black
• Mouse: Not included

How to use

Connect the keyboard to an available USB port on a computer or compatible device. The operating system should detect the keyboard automatically and install default drivers. Position the keyboard on a flat surface at a comfortable typing angle; use the numeric keypad for efficient number entry. No batteries or wireless pairing are required—unplug to store or relocate.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure the AZERTY layout matches your preferred language and typing habits.
• Verify your workspace has a free USB port and sufficient desk space for a full-size keyboard.
• Consider whether a wired connection meets your mobility and cable-management needs.

Recommendations

For sustained comfort, place the keyboard at elbow height and use a separate wrist support if needed. Keep the cable routed to avoid clutter and connect directly to the computer rather than through an unpowered hub for optimal performance.
