Heat gun Steinel Professional HG 2620 E 2300 W — handheld hot air tool, 2300 W power

The Steinel Professional HG 2620 E 2300 W is a handheld hot air tool designed to deliver controlled, continuous heat for a wide range of tasks in workshops and on-site jobs. With 2300 watts of power, this heat gun provides a reliable heat source for stripping paint, bending plastics, loosening adhesives and heat-shrinking tubing. The compact pistol grip and balanced weight distribution offer steady handling during prolonged use, while the nozzle design directs hot air precisely to the work area.

Advantages

The heat gun combines high power output with consistent temperature delivery to support demanding applications. Its ergonomic handheld design reduces operator fatigue and improves control for precision work. The device is suitable for both professional tradespeople and DIY users who require a robust tool for surface preparation, material forming and component repair. Built for repetitive use, it maintains steady performance under typical workshop conditions.

Suitable for

• Stripping paint and varnish from wood, metal or masonry surfaces
• Heat-shrinking tubing and insulating materials
• Bending or shaping plastic components
• Softening adhesives, caulks and sealants for removal
• Drying and thawing tasks in maintenance and repair work

Key specifications

• Rated power: 2300 W for continuous hot air generation
• Handheld pistol-style form factor for one-handed operation
• Directed nozzle to concentrate airflow for precise heating
• Suitable for workshop and on-site applications involving surface treatment and material shaping

How to use

Hold the heat gun by its handle and select the appropriate distance and nozzle orientation to focus hot air on the target area. Start with a low exposure time and increase gradually until the material responds as required—paint should blister for scraping, plastics will soften for bending, and adhesives will become pliable for removal. Keep the tool moving across surfaces to prevent overheating a single spot and allow treated areas to cool before handling. Follow any material-specific guidance for temperature limits and safety precautions.

Recommendations

Operate the heat gun in a well-ventilated area and use personal protective equipment such as heat-resistant gloves and eye protection. Maintain a safe clearance from flammable materials and ensure the tool is allowed to cool on a non-combustible surface after use. For best results, pair the heat gun with appropriate nozzles and use steady, controlled passes rather than holding the gun stationary.
