Ribbed aluminum external AXAGON EE25-GTR RIBBED box with USB 3.2 Gen2 interface for 2.5” SATA HDD or SSD. The double-sided USB-C connector on the box together with the supplied USB-C -> USB-A cable and USB-A -> USB-C adapter enables a reliable connection to a computer.

Thanks to the fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface with a transfer speed of up to 10 Gb/s, the speed of 2.5" SSD disks is not limited. Compared to conventional boxes with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, the transfer speed of this box with SSD disk is about 20% higher. The TRIM feature support limits the gradual degradation of SSD performance over time. Reading S.M.A.R.T. information monitoring the condition of the external drive. How to use

Open the enclosure, mount a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD (max height 9.5 mm) into the internal frame and secure it with the supplied mounting material. Close the case and connect the enclosure to a computer using the included USB-C to USB-A cable or directly with a USB-C host. The device is plug-and-play on supported operating systems; the OS will install required drivers automatically. Use the LED to verify power and data activity.

Recommendations

For optimal SSD longevity and performance, enable TRIM support in the operating system and use UASP-capable hosts when available. Avoid exposing the aluminium enclosure to strong mechanical shock and ensure adequate airflow when used for extended transfers to assist passive cooling.
