Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

The HAMA 00205445 HDMI Cable (1.5 m) is a high-bandwidth HDMI Type A lead designed for transmitting ultra HD video and multichannel audio between sources and displays. It supports resolutions up to 7680x4320 (8K) and a data rate of 48 Gbit/s, and features gold-plated contacts and a flexible fabric jacket for reliable signal transfer and enhanced durability.

Advantages

The cable supports Dynamic HDR for improved depth, sharpness, brightness, contrast and extended colour space per frame, and enables 3D transmission thanks to its wide bandwidth. Gold-plated plugs reduce contact resistance for stable signal transmission, while an integrated Ethernet channel provides network data transfer up to 100 Mbit/s. A flexible fabric outer jacket and flexible internal materials improve kink protection and reduce the risk of cable breakage.

Suitable for

  • Connecting 8K-capable TVs and displays to players or streaming devices
  • Linking projectors and AV receivers for high-resolution video and audio
  • Connecting gaming consoles and PCs to monitors or TVs supporting high frame rates

Key specifications

  • Length: 1.5 m
  • Connectors: HDMI Type A to HDMI Type A (standard)
  • Data rate: 48 Gbit/s
  • Maximum supported resolution: 7680 x 4320 (8K)
  • Features: Dynamic HDR, 3D support, Ethernet channel (up to 100 Mbit/s)
  • Contacts: Gold-plated
  • Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one HDMI Type A plug to the HDMI output of the source device (e.g., Blu-ray player, console, PC) and the other plug to the HDMI input on the display device (TV, projector, monitor). Ensure connectors are fully inserted for a secure connection. Select the appropriate input on the display and configure video output settings on the source device to match the display’s supported resolution and HDR options.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends and tight loops in the cable, keep connections free of dust, and use the cable for distances up to 1.5 m as specified. When using 8K or HDR content, verify that both source and display devices support the same HDMI features to achieve the best image quality.
