Guitar Octaver Pedal TC Electronic Sub 'N' Up Mini True Bypass compact octaver pedal

The TC Electronic Sub 'N' Up Mini True Bypass compact octaver pedal provides octave layering for electric guitar and other electric instruments in a small footprint suitable for pedalboards. This pedal blends sub-octave and upper-octave signals with the dry tone, offering intuitive control over tone and level. True bypass switching preserves the original signal when the effect is disengaged, while the compact enclosure makes it practical for live performance and studio tracking where space and signal integrity matter.

Advantages

The compact size reduces pedalboard clutter without sacrificing octave tone quality, and the pedal's straightforward controls let you dial sub and upper octaves quickly. True bypass ensures the signal path remains transparent when the effect is off. The unit's construction is designed for reliable stage and studio use, with clear sonic response across playing dynamics.

Suitable for

• Guitarists wanting thick low-end sub-octave layers
• Players seeking upper-octave textures and harmonics
• Pedalboard setups with limited space
• Live performances where true bypass is required
• Studio tracking needing clear octave doubling

Key specifications

• Effect type: Octaver (sub-octave and upper-octave blending)
• Controls: Blend and level controls for octave and dry signals
• Switching: True bypass footswitch to preserve unprocessed signal
• Form factor: Compact enclosure designed for pedalboard compatibility
• Power: Standard compact-pedal power requirements (external power supply compatible)
• Input/Output: Instrument-level input and output jacks suitable for electric guitar rigs

How to use

Connect your guitar to the instrument input and run the output to your amplifier or the next pedal in your signal chain. Apply a suitable compact pedal power supply if needed. Engage the footswitch to activate the octave effect and use the blend and level controls to mix sub-octave and upper-octave layers with your dry tone until the desired texture is achieved. When the pedal is off, the true bypass switch returns your signal to its original path.

Recommendations

For tighter low-end, start with lower blend settings and increase gradually while playing with your amplifier's EQ. Use moderate levels of upper octave to add shimmer without masking articulation, and position the pedal early in the chain for clear tracking of pitch-based octave effects.
