Gregory Jade 38 Women's Hiking Backpack XS/S Midnight Navy

On a crisp alpine morning, a female trekker adjusts the FreeFloat ventilated suspension of her Gregory Jade 38 before setting off on a multi-day hut-to-hut route. The pack's women-specific fit and XS/S torso length keep the load stable and comfortable over rocky terrain, while the midnight navy shell with navy accents blends into the forest shadows.

Why choose it

The Jade 38 is engineered specifically for women, with a shorter torso range, contoured shoulder straps, and a hipbelt shaped for female hips. The FreeFloat suspension provides dynamic ventilation, keeping your back cool on steep climbs. Despite its lightweight build, it carries up to 15.9 kg comfortably, and the integrated rain cover ensures your gear stays dry in sudden downpours. The U-zip access lets you reach gear at the bottom without unpacking everything, a feature often missing in top-loaders.

Ideal use cases

• Weekend backpacking trips where a 38L capacity balances space and weight
• Fastpacking or lightweight multi-day hikes with resupply stops
• Day hikes with extra gear for changing weather or photography equipment
• Travel backpacking when you need a carry-on sized pack with trekking features

Good to know

The XS/S size fits torso lengths from 36 to 43 cm, ideal for petite frames. The pack is made with durable high-density nylon that resists abrasion from rock and brush. The integrated rain cover is stored in a dedicated pocket at the bottom and deploys in seconds. The Sunglass QuickStow system on the shoulder strap keeps your shades secure and scratch-free. For hydration, the SpeedClip hanger works with most 2-3L reservoirs, and the hose routes through the shoulder strap.
