GEMBIRD AOC High speed HDMI D-A cable with Ethernet “AOC Premium Series”, 30m

The Gembird CCBP-HDMID-AOC-30M is a 30 m HDMI Active Optical Cable (AOC) that uses fiber optic technology to transmit digital HDMI signals. It carries signals farther than traditional copper HDMI cables (up to 100 m) while reducing the risk of EMI/RFI interference. The cable includes dedicated copper power conductors, so no external power supply is required. It features HDMI Type A (standard) and HDMI Type D (micro) connectors, gold-plated contacts for improved durability, a slim braided jacket and metal connector housings. The cable supports 4K UHD resolution at 60 Hz and a data transfer rate up to 18 Gbit/s.

Advantages

Fiber optic construction enables long-distance HDMI transmission with lower susceptibility to electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. The design combines a smaller overall diameter and a premium braided sheath with metal connector ends for improved durability and a compact form factor. Integrated copper power wires eliminate the need for an external power adapter. Supports high bandwidth necessary for 4K60 video.

Suitable for

• Connecting cameras or smartphones with micro HDMI (Type D) output to displays with standard HDMI (Type A) input
• Long-run video links in conference rooms, classrooms or exhibition spaces
• Home AV setups where interference or signal degradation over distance is a concern

Key specifications

• Length: 30 m
• Connector 1: HDMI Type A (Standard)
• Connector 2: HDMI Type D (Micro)
• Data rate: up to 18 Gbit/s
• Colour: Black
• Supports: 4K UHD @ 60 Hz

How to use

Connect the HDMI Type D (micro) end to the source device (for example a camera or smartphone) and the HDMI Type A end to the display or capture device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted. No external power is required thanks to the internal copper power conductors; if the source device limits power delivery, consult the device manual. For best results, avoid sharp bends near the connectors and route the cable to prevent tight kinks.

Recommendations

For installations longer than a few metres, verify that both source and display support the desired resolution and refresh rate. Avoid running the cable alongside high-voltage power lines to further reduce potential interference. Store the cable coiled loosely and avoid crushing or pinching the braided sheath.
